“It’s exciting to contribute to the effort of making fashion and modeling more inclusive. Of course, there’s a certain pressure, but by staying true to myself, I can normalize disability and put the person first. That’s the primary reason I decided to sign with SPECS,” Alexa says about the partnership.
As the fashion industry continues to promote diversity in various forms – ethnicity, age, size – SPECS hopes to extend this evolution to also include models with reduced mobility. The agency plans to offer Alexa opportunities across multiple platforms, including advertising campaigns, fashion shows, and editorial shoots. By signing Alexa, SPECS aims to provide brands with the opportunity to promote authentic representation and encourage inclusivity in their work.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alexa to SPECS!” said Marie-Josée Trempe, founding president of SPECS modeling agency. “My vision for the agency has always been to represent talent that everyone can recognize themselves in. Alexa is a bright and dynamic young woman who will undoubtedly be an excellent ambassador for the advancement of inclusivity in this field.”
